Best Diets for 2012












In order to be successful, a diet has to work and must be simple.

My choice would be Solutions by Dr. Fitness. Lance Dreher (Dr. Fitness) pictured above.

U.S. World and News Report's Best Diets, 2012 include:

The DASH Diet(Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension): Best overall diet for healthy eating and the best diabetes diet (tied with the Biggest Loser diet). The DASH diet (emphasis on whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and lean protein may also help lower cholesterol.

Weight Watchers was voted best weight-loss diet, best commercial diet plan and easiest diet to follow.

The Ornish diet ranked first in best heart-healthy diets.

The Mediterranean diet ranked fourth in heart-healthy diets.

The Mayo Clinic diet(ranked third among best diabetes diets) and Jenny Craig (ranked second among best commercial diet plans).

A panel of twenty-two volunteers chose the diets based on information from sources such as government reports and scientific journals. Seven criteria were used to rate the diets, including how well they generated short-term/long-term weight loss.
