Forks Over Knives (Reposting)

I highly recommend this important film on nutrition  (I watched it on Netflix Instant play)

FORKS OVER KNIVES examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods.

One Week Away from Healthier Skin

Skin cells regenerate every seven days.Since the food you eat fuels new cell production, you are on your way to healthy, vibrant skin if you add these veggies to your diet, starting today.
  • KALE
  • CUCUMBERS
  • AVOCADOS

KALE has one of the highest levels of magnesium and calcium (compared to other vegetables). It is rich in Vitamins A, C, E and K. These vitamins promote cell growth.

CUCUMBERS are full of a healthy enzyme containing water and, since hydration is a key ingredient for healthy skin, adding cucumbers to your diet is a good idea. Cucumbers also contain other skin boosting vitamins and minerals (magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron, folic acid, calcium and vitamins B and C).

AVOCADOS contain "healthy fat" that help our skin retain its moisture. They also contain riboflavin, niacin and vitamins A and E. Avocados have been shown to help with eczema and psoriasis ( when used both externally and internally).

Remember, you are what you eat!

Eat Your Curly Vegetables

I BUILT THAT!
The spiral vegetable slicer cuts vegetables and fruits into curly, ribbon-like slices.Place the vegetable or fruit on the prongs of the wheel, then turn the wheel while pushing the base toward the vertical julienne blade and voila!...continuous spiral strands of glorious produce miraculously appear! I am having so much fun and am eating more raw veggies. This spiral slicer really works.I bought mine online (Amazon).
